WELCOME
First Smilocide faire debrief
Successful? Yes. That’s what we’re going with here. Especially if you missed it. Several great performances from the likes of Maricler and Alissa, art and prints from Lee, plus our own performance of “Horreur Sympathique.” Plus we raised $32.40 for the Palestinian Children’s Relief Fund! That may not sound like a lot, but if that eases the hardship even a little bit of a couple of suffering children, I can hardly think that’s not a big deal. Also, we destroyed a MAGA flag. That felt reeeeeal nice.
Smilocide Faire
For people who are perfectly happy being sad. Featuring puppetry, live music, film screening, arts, and crafts, all while raising money for the Palestinian Children’s Relief Fund! It’s for a good cause and you should feel bad if you miss it. Find deets at the Google Calendar invite here. If you’re an iPhone person, I can’t help you. Buuuut just drive here and walk down the hill towards the throng of weirdos: Merry Go Round Lot One Los Angeles, CA 90027, USA It will run from 4:00 to 8:00pm and be be a delightfully dour evening. Hope to see you…
Horreur Sympathique
Did you think you knew shadow puppetry? Think again! It’s coming THIS SATURDAY! Inspired by the poetry of French spooky weirdo and proto-goth Charles Baudelaire, “Horreur Sympathique” is an uncanny, ethereal journey through nightmares, spun in shadow for your bemusement, featuring newly translated assembleges of Baudelaire’s verse. See it at Griffith Park near the Merry-Go-Round Saturday, April 27, 2024 at 7:00pm at the first ever Smilocide Faire!
